Many objects created from the same material, with slight variations in size or life span, occasionally having some subtle changes in colour but essentially lacking in individuality. Created from materials that are unnatural and produced from complex human manipulation. Consumption of time and materials that creates an object of premeditated existence and perpetuate a thoughtless state. Everything is clear, premeditated, planned, creating a constant spiral leading to an unavoidable end. They are closed, concealing what is inside, lacking a sense of openness.

One single object created from natural materials. Unable to be calculated, reproduced, or planned. Organically growing using the natural flow of the material. The end is pre-determined by the physical definitive end of the spool. The shape relies on the material. Collaboration allows the individual spool to shape itself, to have choice as to how it will exist as a singular entity. Random earlike openings bring about clarity allowing what is inside to be seen.

The human arm is the implement used to secure a natural barrier or obstacle that is short, unobtrusive and non-threatening. Both sides are equally visible, equally attainable. The object functions as a fence, defining territory or personal space. The roped off space can be easily walked across. Previous programming and social norms are the only restrictions preventing this.
